Got this under Yahoo for a very very reasonable price, spent a night in fixing it, as the seller has messed up some of the detail parts ...., however, original builder has done a great job with it.

seems it has gone out of production.

Runs very well, with grouper motor, ESC, and servo all comes with the boat ... the selling has not priced this right, and I got this for only $170 ...

Great find, Paul. I have one, unbuilt, resting quietly in the box that was bought even cheaper than yours but of course no motor. The first generation kits from Tamiya were motorized and came with a motor and battery box I think. Later versions are static only which is what I have.

Did the previous owner paint it? I ask because the model comes 'molded in colour' which is gray, red, black, green, clear and gold.

The original owner did paint it, and does a good job with it too ...
